Last night we started a tradition…taking Olivia to see the Nutcracker during the holidays. The Nutcracker was being performed by the Loudoun County Ballet Company. It was an excellent performance, very well done. Olivia was memorized the whole show. Her favorite part of the performance was when the mice and mouse King fight the Nutcracker. Surprisingly we thought she would be afraid of that part, since quite honestly those mice looked pretty menacing with their red eyes! All throughout the performance there were small little children performing….they were so cute. Olivia kept asking how old they were and when I said 5-7 years, she adamantly declared that she wanted to be in The Nutcracker show next year. I guess I have to enroll her in ballet first. We bought her a Nutcracker from the show. When we got home, she showed Dan and I a few dance moves she picked up from the show…so cute.
