You ever notice ‘things’ happen in 3’s. Well, Dan put it best and is the reason why I’ve been absent from my blog…
1. Our cat died
2. Our home computer crashed
3. Our taxes were due
Not much we can do about number 1. We had a very nice little ‘funeral’ for little Jazzer, may he rest in peace.
Number 2, well this is a busy week for Dan…so he probably won’t get around to ‘fixing’ it or buying a new one for a few more weeks. Therefore, I won’t have any pictures to post since my brand new Photoshop Elements was on our home computer. I had just spent hours sorting pictures on the new photo organizer tool…all LOST. Thankfully, we have a back up of our hard drive so all my pictures were recovered…including our last pictures of Jazz and the Cherry Blossom Festival. Thank you Lord!! I guess I could hook up my work laptop to the external hard drive to get some pictures, but you know what…I’m too lazy to do it. LOL!
Number 3, submitted our good ‘ole taxes late last night. We always wait until the last minute to do our taxes. First time in awhile that we owed money, which sucked…but well I guess we really do have to pay taxes on Dan’s freelance money. UGH! At least it’s DONE!
The bathroom project has come to a stand still. I can’t figure out what color to paint it so I’ve become fixated on finding the perfect shower curtain that perhaps will give me some inspiration for the color. So after visiting every store known to mankind that carries bathroom ‘stuff’; I finally purchased this from Bed Bath and Beyond. The best part was it was on clearance so I got it for only $19 (marked down from $40). It’s very feminine and since it’s really Olivia’s bathroom I think it will look very sweet. So now I’m thinking the walls will be painted either a sage green or pale yellow color (Dan put his foot down on painting it pink, I doubt he’ll even enter this bathroom once I’m done with it – too girly for him). I am also painting the cabinets a high gloss white. I’ve never done that before, so I hope they turn out!
Had a great weekend. Spent time with all three sisters and we crafted all weekend long. Thanks Trudi for hosting! I think I completed 15 scrapbook pages. It was great finally getting to scrapbook since it’s been awhile since I had time to just do nothing else but that. It was heaven!
Olivia spent Saturday with us before Dan picked her up. My sister’s neighbor has a daughter Olivia’s age and they love to play together. Her birthday was this weekend so it was great that Olivia was able to go. I have some great pics and also a flip video of them playing/singing during the rain storm …but of course, I can’t share it now because my computer is down…argh!
I’m getting ready for a yard sale on Saturday. I normally wait until summer, but I just can’t stand the crap in my storage room anymore. So I cleaned it out today (I took the day off) and have a ton of boxes of stuff waiting to be priced in our game room downstairs. Now I can actually walk through my storage area and laundry room without fear of being toppled to death by an avalanche of JUNK! Well, perhaps my junk is someone else’s treasures…so hopefully we’ll get rid of everything this weekend!
