Last Friday, Meagen and Sydney had their first sleep over at our house. Olivia was beyond thrilled to have them.
It was the evening of the opening Olympic ceremony so I wanted to try to help the kids understand the event. So I decided to host the “Princess Olympics”. The girls wore their favorite princess outfits.
Their first order of business, was to run around the yard to represent the Team US.
The first event was to compete in the Alphabet and Number game. I said their name and called out a letter or number. They had to run to that letter that I drew on the driveway. Later I made it more challenging by asking them to ‘hop on one leg to that letter/number’. They had fun with that.
The next game was balance the ball on the spoon around the yard.
A freezie pop intermission.
A fierce, who had the best princess shoe, competition…
And finally the medal ceremony. All girls received the Gold.
