We surprised Olivia the morning of her birthday with decorating her room. The night before Dan and I decorated her room and thought that it could go one of two ways. She could be royally pissed off for messing up her room (she likes to keep it tidy and she tends to be a bit moody this child of ours) OR she could love it. So we were a bit worried about her reaction.
The next morning, Olivia came running into our room yelling, “Thank you, thank you Mommy and Daddy!” Dan and I smiled and gave each other a high five!
After school, we surprised her again by picking up her friend, Sadie and taking them both to Chuck E Cheese and Dairy Queen. They were in seventh heaven! Afterwards, we came home to open up our present to her … a little bike for her American Girl. We also had a quick cake – mind it this was 9pm at night, long day for the birthday girl!
Her birthday party is this Saturday – she can’t wait!
